I reach high, when I need not reach.
I elevate my mind, 
It is here that we are one. 
It is here where my truth resides.
Elevating upon the mountain top of my heart
and I soar as the hawk, reaching up to my spirit.
As it sits in the sky like a brilliant cloud of color,
I overlook the scenery of my earthly being.

Yes, I am all this.
I am rooted upon mother earth.
I am layers of rivers, mountains, deserts.
I am the peak of the highest elevation. 
I am that which soars between land and sky.
I am the stratosphere. 
I am in touch with that which lies beyond... 
As we are one.
We ARE one.

Black Panther Medicine

Velveteen soft,
agile hunter.
Blackened under the moonlit sky.
Jewels embedded in thy eye.
Forest swept under the wave of mankind.
You fall deeper into despair
or deeper into darkness, under the thicket
and fog of man's erroneous sight.

Likened to His spirit
lurking underneath.
Found with the highlight
of the moon's glow;
fully enlightening
the hidden soul
trapped beneath
man's ego.
