Crashed
Again
To the ground
It pounds
my body
I ache
internally I ache
My spirit shines bright
and then glows dim
Sometimes I wonder
if the fire will just blow out
A blow from the gentle mouth of God
and my candle could splinter
Allowing my spirit to leave
My sometimes splendor
I am not as good as I would like to be
I am not as patient, as kind, as loving
throughout every moment of the day
And I hang my head in shame
I expect to push through
And sometimes I do
But here I fall again
......
Crashed
Again
To the ground
and the guilt pounds
my spirit
into splinters
